home from the parlor!

smart is really beggining to get into my nerves! ayaw na namang mag-konek!! haaayyy... so now, here i am in an internet cafe. i had to wait for 30 minutes before i could get this computer because there were about 11 people who went before me. wow. what a great life.

salamat sa mga nag-komento. maybe i can't comment sa ilang mga blog today kasi i'm not in the house and dami pang research-works ang kailangang gawin. but when smart will be able to fix their line (god knows when!), i promise to bloghop. swear.

i got a new haircut kanina since there were no classes. feast kasi ni saint ignatius. i love that man. and daming holidays sa school namin because of that guy.

so, my mom sent me to the parlor. i got my hair trimmed and styled. here it is:

okay... so walang gaanong difference. the guy/girl/whatever just had it 'layered'. i don't exactly understand their language. ;) they had to trim and cut and layer. they had to oil and condition and rinse and condition again. they had to shampoo and towel and blow dry. and i, on the other hand, had to wince and squeal and wince some more.

i'm not saying i don't like makeovers. every girl in the world loves makeovers!!!
(even guys secretly like makeovers) oh yes, i had to suffer. they had to pull my hair. they had to scrub it over and over again. the hair stylist had to turn the blower to #3 right in front of my face. halos nang-gigigil na nga ako sa kakainit eh. pero we don't have any other choice diba?! ahhh... the things we do for beauty. ;)

this only shows how we, human beings, crave for pampering. everybody likes a feel-good moment. everybody like to be cared for, served and treated like royalty. everybody like to feel beautiful. because the truth of it all is that we all deserve to be.

why can't we rape guys?!?

me: nina, why can guys rape girls?!?
nina: what do you mean?!?
me: i mean, why can guys rape us girls, and we don't get to rape guys?
nina: uhhh... why?!?
me: it's so uinfair diba? i mean, they can rape us and we can't rape them! (hoy! di ako maniac ah! nagtatanong lang!)
nina: why, are you planning to rape someone?!?
*laughlaugh*
me: no, seriously. i mean, men keep on abusing us and women keep on being abused.
nina: oo nga noh!
me: can we actually rape guys!?
nina: ah! it's like this. we also rape guys pero we seduce them, not physically force them.
me: di yan pwede! it's not rape. seduction lang iyan!!!
*putting on our thinking cap*
nina: ah! i have a theory!!! it's like this: men rape women because we are the more attractive sex. but we don't rape men cause we don't exactly find them attractive.
me: you have a point. but women should still be able to rape men.
both: huh?!?
*confused minds*

one of the reasons why i hate being a woman is that most of the time, we're always regarded as the underdogs. one glaring example: rape cases. (wtf?!?)

totoo naman right?!? i mean, we're always the ones getting beaten up. we're always the ones who have to wear make-up to hide the bruises. we're always the ones who are told to 'stay home and watch over the kids'. i mean, isn't it time society should welcome matriarchal leadership?!?

many times over, men say they're the stronger sex. oh yes, even my brother tells me that. my mom agrees that males should be dominant. am i the only one here trying to tell the world that superwoman is stronger than superman?!? okay... whatever.

all i'm saying is that we're all equal. maybe i exaggerated stuff a bit. okay, maybe more than a bit. but i'm trying to send out a message here.

i know that physically, men endure stress more. but do you know that women possess the strongest muscle in a human's body? yes, the uterus.

i know that shakespeare, and superman and jesus christ are men. but do you know that approximately 75% of the child's mind comes from the mother?

i'm not saying that men suck, and women are greater. i won't go to that extent. men are great too. i mean, how about brad pitt, and brandon boyd, and macmac cardona? back to the topic. ;) BOYS, PEACE BE WITH YOU. what i'm trying to say here is that MEN AND WOMEN ARE EQUAL. therefore, men should respect women, men should value women and more importantly, men should appreciate women.

women, let's show them what girl power means. let the world make way for the powerpuff girls, superwoman and christie! ;)

p.s. ateneo won! unblemished: 5-0!!! kudos and keep up that ateneo spirit!

1. WE LOST the banner-making contest. trust me, it's a big deal.
2. classes weren't cancelled yesterday afternoon, which was a first.
3. gaussian meeting cancelled. haaayyy... i was so excited pa naman.

things to love:
1. i sat in front of my crush's section during the mass.
2. ummm... something else i can't mention cause someone i know might be reading this.
3. i got to be excused during the humanism quiz.
4. brother jody made me laugh, which was a hard thing to do yesterday.
5. ateneo leads the season, 4-0.
6. i owned the winning candy which andre presented in front of my crush. maybe my crush even touched it! babaw ko naman.

so... 3 things to hate and 6 to smile about. life's not that bad after all. ;P

after such long, tiring, absolutely STRESSFUL weeks... finally... a 4-day break!!! i sooo deserve it. i think every student in school has been feeling the pressure. the 'pass it the next day' projects, the pop quizzes and the 'go home now!' screams from the prefect, all these have made up the past few days of the xuhs students.

then, last monday, (or was that last, last monday?!?), the good news broke out: the teachers will be having their two-day retreat! haha. EVERYONE was ecstatic. i was sooo loving it.

of course there still are a lot of assignments and projects to be finished, but at least we're given four straight days to complete them, instead of the usual two days we get on weekends.

i still have a lot to do, but luckily, i have the time to post entries. *wink* i'm awaiting the basketball game tonight: red bull versus purefoods. (im rooting for rbb) but i really am not sure if i do want to watch; i think my team will lose the conference.

also, i've been keeping track of the uaap games verrryyy closely. ateneo has an unblemished record: 2-0!!! at least a team i support is winning, right?!? brazil has lost already... don't let ateneo lose too! ;)

i'll be watching the whole season of uaap (dead serious!). i believe i am admu's lucky charm (whatever!). okay, switch topics.

i've watched pirates of the carribean part 2 (dead man's chest) already! i totally love johnny depp. he's an amazing actor, a great comedian, plus he is absolutely cute! *droooling* i just loved the movie! especially the 'ruin from the weird tribal people' and 'let's eat jack sparrow' parts. problem is, i had a hard time concentrating on the movie. the actors' faces were just too distracting (or should i say appealing?!?).

there are a few movies i plan to watch (i just hope i have the time to do so):
1. click>>> adam sandler!!! i totally love the guy! i don't care who his partner is! any movie with this guy in it is an assured must-watch.
2. sukob>>> kris aquino right?!? i don't know why but there's just something in this woman which totally intrigues me. ;) she's such a... city girl. and she doesn't really give a damn about anything said about her.
3. the devil wears prada>>> duh! the name itself! when nikki and i saw the poster, we immediately swore that we were to watch the movie as soon as sm shows it!

i was suppose to watch scary movie 4 but a lot of friends adviced me not to. corny daw maxado. well, i'll take their advice. but i'll still watch it, when the dvd comes out. ;)

how i wish i could just watch movies, and post blog entries and eat and sleep and drool every minute, everyday. but i still have my exams on august 8 to worry about.

finally!

haaay... finally. tapos na rin. im glad i was able to find time to edit the template of this blog.

ive been busy lately... you know, concentrating on my studies, plus the extra-curricular activities have been such a burden! pero okay lang... tiyaga lang naman kailangan right?!?

i still have a quiz to study for. si mam tess pa naman. but ive been taking advantage of the unlimited internet here in the house, so we're all using the computer 24/7. anyway, i think it'll be easy... (i wish!)

i still am not satisfied with the template. i think i'll have to edit this pa, pero i'll just go slow. after all, newcomer pa lang naman ako eh.

sige... i'll still have to research about a new hottie i've come across with: marvin cruz of up maroons. ;)
